They are the youngest players in the squad that’s used to winning. Xavi Barroso (19) and Marc Julià (17) are the latest editions to a team that have recuperated their hunger for titles. These two players, however, have a hunger for winning that knows no bounds. Because of their insatiable quest for success, they’re both completely focused on the European League.

Julià is the youngest of the ‘in-style’ duo on Gaby Cairo’s team. ‘In-style’ because their team-mates pranked the two youngsters after Barça claimed the OK Liga title on May 14 when they beat CP Calafell by 7-4. The duo were led to a very special barber. This barber, Beto Borregán team veteran and captain, left the two youngsters with a particularly stylish hair cut.

Julià, 11 out of 11

The youngster has lifted, up until now, 11 titles this season. In fact, he’s won every competition that he’s played in; nine with FC Barcelona and two with the Spanish national team. Julià, who’s enjoying more and more minutes on the court as the season comes to a close, has won:

-Spanish and Catalonia championships in the junior and juvenil divisions
-The Copa Generalitat with FC Barcelona B
-Liga championship (promotion to Primera Nacional)
-Taça Latina Sub23
-World Cup U23

Barroso, nine out of nine

Barroso’s trophy cabinet is more modest compared to Julià’s. However, it’s evident that Barroso is a fantastic player, and more titles are surely on the way for the Catalan. These are the titles Barroso has won:

-Spanish and Catalonia championships in the junior division
-The Copa Generalitat with FC Barcelona B
-Liga championship (promotion to Primera Nacional)
