Barça B’s trip to Ponferradina produced an absolute thriller, with both sides leading at some stage before it all ended in a remarkable 4-4 draw.

The home side took the lead through Alberto Aguilar from a corner, but Sandro drew level when he pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the area and drove it home. Shortly after Adama had Castañeda beaten for speed before shooting past goalkeeper Prieto to put Barça ahead.

With a minute of the first half remaining, Halilovic then made it three with a perfectly placed strike from outside the area, his first ever goal for the team.

Barça had full control of the game for the next 25 minutes without being able to convert any of their chances, whereupon the final twenty minutes produced an extraordinary amount of drama. Acorán got one back for the home side with a 73rd minute left-footer, but Barça re-established their two-goal cushion when Óscar Ramírez put the ball in his own net. However, the Barça joy lasted for mere seconds before substitute Yuri scored two impressive solo goals in the space of just two minutes to make it 4-4.

Ponferradina still had time for two great chances to grab a winner, first for Infante and then for Yuri, and in the end a game that either side could have won ended with the points being shared.
