The young Valencian is versatile and a goalscorer, a player who can play anywhere up front
Full name: Ferran Torres García
Date and place of birth: 29/02/2000 (Foios, Valencia)
Arrival at Barça: On 28 December 2021, FC Barcelona and Manchester City reached an agreement for the transfer of Ferran Torres. On 3 January he was officially presented as a Barça player at Camp Nou.
Senior debut: His first game as a blaugrana came on 12 January 2022 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid. In his second appearance as a Barça player he scored his first goal for the club in the Copa del Rey clash with Athletic Club in San Mamés.
Versatility in attack
The former Manchester City player brings together qualities that allow him to pay in any position up front, out wide or through the middle.
One of Ferran Torres' many qualities is his finishing. His ability to lose his man and his positioning in the opponents' penalty area all play a part in his knack for scoring goals.
Now he has the chance to keep showing his quality at FC Barcelona, another step in his short but busy career so far. He started playing for Valencia when he was just seven years of age and progressed rapidly and he made his La Liga debut on 16 December 2017 against Eibar, in doing so becoming the first player born this century to appear in the competition.
In little over two seasons with the Valencia first team he made 97 appearance for los che, scoring nine goals. Torres then signed for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side and playing more as an out and out striker, he scored 11 goals in 30 appearances. His form attracted the attention of Spanish national team coach Luis Enrique and he is now a fixture in the international set up.
