Striker Ferran Jutglà is one of the stars of the Barça B squad this season so far. The 23 year old forward from Sant Jualià de Vilatorta in Catalonia has gone from strength to strength since arriving at the Club last summer. After making his debut for Barça B against L'Escala in a pre-season friendly, he has risen to scoring for the first team at Camp Nou.
Jutglà's goals have been vital in picking up points for the B side this season, directly contributing to five points for Sergi Barjuan's team. His strikers have come against the following : Linense (1), Andorra (2), Sevilla Atl. (1), Atl. Sanluqueño (3), Costa Brava (2), Linares (1), Albacete (1), Alcoyano (1), Betis Dep. (1), Linense (1), Villarreal B (1), At. Baleares (2).
Top scorer stats
The Barça striker has scored in five successive matches, leading him to top of the table in the goalscoring charts in both groups of the Primera RFEF thanks to his brace in his most recent appearance against Atlético Sanluqueño.
Jutglà has played 2,385 minutes this season for the B side, scoring 17 goals, one every 140 minutes. In his group he is three goals ahead of his closest rival Arana (Villarreal B) and four ahead of Dioni (Atl. Baleares), Chiki (Cornellà) and Arribas (Real Madrid Castilla). In the other group in the division, the top scorer is Alberto Quiles of Deportivo La Coruña.
The young striker is a just a goal away from the totals recorded by Gerard Deulofeu and Dani Romera with the B side in 2012/13 and 2016/17 respectively, the best tallies from the last decade.
Debut with the first team
Ferran Jutglà has also made his debut for the first team this season, appearing in nine matches in the league, Copa del Rey and Super Cup. In his 464 minutes on the field the Catalan striker scored twice, in the 3-2 win against Elche in the league and in the 2-1 win at Linares in the Copa del Rey.
