Presentation synopsis

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has been organising F1 and MotoGP Grands Prix for more than 25 years.

Considering the new consumption habits and the fact that these are two strongly season-related products, with a one-shot opportunity (F1 in May and MotoGP in June), the ticket sales strategy is mainly focussed on B2B (Travel Agencies and Tour Operators), which made-up 60% of the sales in F1 and 30% in MotoGP, and on B2C – direct sales (website and in-person) which meant 31% in F1 and 56% in MotoGP.  The rest is divided between private companies and Fan Clubs.

In order to get to the key public and markets, and to achieve an increase in the ticket sales, the Circuit is focussing now on a digital sales/communication strategy, including the creation of a new website, mainly focussed on Ticketing, using the following tools: the Internet, Social Media, Google AdWords and E-Mail Marketing.
