The Asobal Super Cup is Barça Lassa’s second title of the season, after winning the Catalan Super Cup a week ago. Xavi Pascual’s team overcame BM Logroño La Rioja in the final (27-35) to give them their seventh consecutive title in the competition. The win was fully deserved as the Blaugrana dominated the match from the first minute.
After the hectic opening exchanges, Barça began to impose their natural game they quickly went ahead on the scoreboard. Playing with high energy and intensity, the Blagurana had opened up a five-point lead (13-18) by half-time.
The second period continued in the same vein as the first, and try as Logroño might to get a foothold back in the match, Barça Lassa were just too strong and had increased their lead to eight by the end of the game.
