FC Barcelona Lassa – Cartagena FS: Hard work and sweat (6-1)

Andreu Plaza's side get the three points at the Palau, in a game that was still up for grabs until the last few minutes

In spite of the margin of victory, FC Barcelona Lassa didn’t have an easy night at the Palau. After the victory against Zaragoza on Wednesday, Andreu Plaza’s side defeated Cartagena Romero Plastics (6-1). The goals from Esquerdinha and Roger, in the first half, and Dyego and Joselito in the second, sealed a win that wasn’t confirmed until the last few minutes.

Barça had to be patient against a strong and defensive rival, but Roger Serrano’s introduction paid almost immediate dividends. Just two minutes after coming on, Esquerdinha put the hosts ahead, and on 13, the scorer turned provided with Roger doubling the lead. From that moment on, Barça controlled the rhythm and the game well.

Electric 30 seconds

After recharging their batteries at the break, both teams went on the offensive. Drahovsky halved the deficit in the 24th minute but just 30 seconds later, Dyego’s penalty restored the advantage.

Late show

With nothing to lose as the clock wound down, Cartagena pressured Sedano in the Barça goal but the hosts held firm. In the final three minutes, Joselito (37, 38) and Dyego (39) took advantage of the visitors’ desperation to get forward and ease Barça home.
