Bateria in action in the defeat in Mallorca / PALMA FUTSAL

FC Barcelona Lassa futsal side said goodbye to the Copa del Rey with a 4-3 defeat against Palma Futsal in the second leg of their semi-final in Son Moix in Mallorca. Marc Carmona’s team were on the back foot from the very start and were unable to turn around the 2-1 deficit from the first leg in the Palau Blaugrana. Goals from Tolrà (2) and Wilde were not enough to book a place in the final.

Chances came and went in the early minutes before Pizarro put the home side ahead, beating Sedano down low in the Barça goal. The lead lasted just two minutes for Palma as Tolrà brought the blaugranes level.

Sedano made two excellent saves but there was nothing he could do about Taffy’s effort which restored the home side’s advantage. That was a cruel blow for Carmona’s team who went off at half time knowing they had a mountain to climb in the second half.

After the break, things went from bad to worse with Palma adding a third via Vadillo. Barça sacrificed their keeper and Tolrà made it 3-2 but the home side claimed a fourth to put the tie out of sight for the visitors. Wilde brought it back to 4-3 but it was too little too late with FC Barcelona Lass now out of the Copa del Rey.
