The Barça futsal team were unable to claim victory away at D-Link Zaragoza despite going ahead on three separate occasions. The home side were able to come back every time to claim a point with Marc Carmona’s team remaining top of the table with Pozo de Murcia and Inter Movistar still to face each other this weekend.

After being knocked out of the Spanish Cup on Tuesday by Inter Movistar, Barça were back in action barely 72 hours later. Marc Carmona was happy for his side to be playing again so quickly after the Cup exit and Bateria gave the visitors an early lead away at Zaragoza. The home side equalised and then the two teams exchanged blows with Zaragoza taking the lead at one point only for Ari Santos to being Barça back level at 3-3 just before half time.

The blaugranes appeared to be heading for victory when Saad put them back in front after the break before David Ruiz levelled things up after 25 minutes. Both teams had chances to win the game but outstanding goalkeeping from Barça’s Paco Sedano and Zaragoza’s Bernard meant the teams had to share the points in Aragón. Barça’s thoughts now turn to their game against Pozo de Murcia next Saturday at the Palau Blaugrana.
