"I want to thank everyone that came to the Palau Blaugrana to help us. We couldn’t let them down and I have to congratulate the players, who gave everything they had. What they have done for this team, this club, these colours. Congratulations to them too”. That was how Xavi Pascual started his press conference after the fifth and decisive game of the Euroleague quarter final series.

"It was a game worthy of being the fifth. Defensive errors led to our lead being cut down a bit, but we were always the better side”, said Xavi Pascual, after reaching his fourth Final Four in five years. "Winning a fifth game at home is always that little bit more special” he added.

With respect to the game against Real Madrid in the semi-finals, Pascual said that "all the teams in the Final Four are very strong. We’ll have a very difficult game in the semi-finals. We already played them in the Copa del Rey, but this time we won’t have Pete Mickeal or Brad Oleson, so we’ll have to reinvent them.”

Everyone to the Palau on Saturday

At the end of his press conference, Xavi Pascual asked all fans and members to come along if they can to give their support to the handball team, who have to make up a five-goal deficit in their own Champions League quarter final against Atlético Madrid.
