Bradley Scott Oleson will be joining Barça Regal after signing a deal for this season and the next two. The agreement, subject to a medical, was struck between Barça and Caja Laboral and the American, who holds a Spanish passport, will count as a locally produced player.

Barça’s new shooting guard is 1’91 tall and is also able to play as a point guard if needed. An extraordinary attacking player, with a 42% success rate of three pointers in 162 league games and 39% in 57 in the Euroleague, Oleson is also an intense and hard working defender. One of his greatest abilities is to lift the performances of the players around him – something which has been clear to see in his time at Caja Laboral. He currently averages 10.4 points a game.

Cup tied in Europe

Since Oleson has already competed in the first phase and the Top 16 of the Euroleague with Caja Laboral, he will not be available for the rest of the competition with Barça this season and will therefore only be used in domestic competitions.

Seven years in Spain

Oleson came to Spain in the 2005/06 season when he joined the Galician team Rosalía de Castro in the Spanish LEB league, where he was spotted by Fuenlabrada who signed him in 2008. After a successful season, it then looked as if he was set to sign for Real Madrid, but he was bought and then sold on in a player deal that took him to Caja Laboral, where he has played for the last four seasons.
