Nathan Jawai is the second new Barça Regal acquisition for 2012/13 after Ante Tomic. The club has settled a deal for the Australian centre to play for one season.

After signing Croatia’s Tomic, Barça Regal has continued to reinforce its interior by incorporating Nathan Jawai. The intimidating and corpulent centre is 2.08 metres tall and spent last season at UNICS Kazan.

Good numbers against Barça

His average in Europe over the last season was 7,3 points and 4,3 rebounds a game.

Experience in the NBA

Although he is still only 25, Nathan Jawai has experience all over the world – including a short time in the NBA –playing for the Toronto Raptors and the Minnesota Timberwolves before joining Patrizan Belgrade and moving to Russia to play for UNICS Kazan last season.
