FC Barcelona organises first co-creation workshop with female members

The Edelmira Calvetó Group was behind the encounter along with some fifty members to work and share ideas on how to promote women’s sport

FC Barcelona organised the first co-creation workshop with female members of the club with the aim of promoting women’s sport from the Club.

The activity was backed by the Eldemira Calvetó Group, a group which aims to recover the historical memory of the FC Barcelona woman, as well as to reclaim the role of the member and give more prominence to the role of the woman inside the club.

Under the slogan ‘Enhance women's sport’, around 50 female members, presidents of supporters clubs and Barça players met at the Honour Anteroom of the stadium to propose ideas and initiatives that can be carried out from the club with the aim of promoting and defining the role that FC Barcelona should have in women’s sport.

Before the start of the workshop, the vice-secretary of the board Maria Teixidor welcomed the attendees. "We have a lot to say and we have much to do, both in the world of sport, both at Barça and in the world.”

It was then the turn of FC Barcelona Women players Marta Unzué and Melanie Serrano, who had words of gratitude to the club for “taking the step of making the women’s football team professional”.

Once the topic of the discussion was established, it was the turn of the members who, divided into small groups, took part in actively generating ideas and proposals.

The ‘Enhance women's sport’ Co-Creation Workshop is the third that FC Barcelona has organised and is part of the transversal innovation programme which began in 2014.
