Melanie Serrano, here against Montpelier during last year's pre-season | MIGUEL RUIZ-FCB

The FC Barcelona Women's football team is just days away from restarting work.

They will begin pre-season training on 28 July with two days of physicals and strength testing before officially beginning on-the-field work at the Ciutat Esportiva on Saturday, 30 July. Then, from 1 to 5 August, the team will take their training camp to Prades, in Tarragona, as they have done in previous seasons.

The Barça Women have four friendlies scheduled, with a possible fifth if they qualify for the final of the Catalonia Cup.

The team has five new faces: Andressa Alves (Montpellier), Leila Ouahabi (Valencia), Andrea Giménez (Espanyol), Line Røddik Hansen (Olympique Lyonnais) and Aitana Bonmatí (the reserves). Esther Romero, Cristina Baudet, Andreia Norton, Andrea Falcón, and Nuria and Pilar Garrote have moved on.
