Olga scores the only goal in the first leg in Holland / BAS EVERHARD - FC TWENTE

A week after beating FC Twente 1-0 in front of 15,637 spectators, a draw would be enough for Xavi Llorens’ side to qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League at the Miniestadi on Wednesday evening at 7.00pm CET. That would match their best ever performance in the competition, two seasons ago, when they beat Zurich in the round of 16 and eventually succumbed to VfL Wolfsburg in the last eight.

The Barça manager goes into the game with a full squad, apart from the three long-term absentees of Mariona, Pilar and Andreia Norton. Although he recognised in his pre-match press conference that he was concerned by the poor performance at the weekend against Collerense, he is confident that his side can do the job against a difficult Dutch outfit.

Twente are a physical side with pacey wingers that know they need to score at least once to have any hope of making it through. And they will be buoyed by the return of their captain and leader, Anouk Dekker, who missed the first leg through suspension and was sorely missed by her team-mates.
