The FC Barcelona Under-19 team fell at home against Espanyol on Saturday afternoon by a score of 3-1. The game was a tale of two halves, with a defensive first 45 minutes that yielded few scoring chances giving way to a hectic second act in which all four of the game's goals were scored.

Barça were the first to get on the board, but that didn't happen until the game was almost two-thirds gone when Morer and Aleñà combined nicely, allowing the former to find the back of the net on 58 minutes.

But Espanyol equalised eleven minutes later after Rivas stole the ball from Dennis Otto on a Barça outlet. Another ten minutes went by when Christopher scored Espanyol's second goal in the 79th to take the lead. Then, in the 82nd, Aaron's penalty kick goal sealed the final outcome.

The defeat keeps the U-19 team in third place with 22 points, four behind second-place Espanyol, and five behind leaders Mallorca, who play tomorrow against La Salle.
