Carles Aleñá heavily marked against Girona FC / VÍCTOR SALGADO - FCB

An easy win for the FC Barcelona U19 A side to help them put aside two recent defeats in the league. The blaugranes came out 4-1 winners against Girona in a game that took place in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Gabri’s side went ahead after 20 minutes thanks to a strike from Montes and despite Girona equalising, the blaugranes went back ahead thanks a to a goal from Álex Blanco.

After the break Barça maintained their touch in front of goal with strikes from Carles Pérez in the 54th minute and another from Carles Aleñà, The win for Gabri’s side means they are now third in the table with 16 points, five behind leaders Mallorca.

Draw for U19 B side

The U19 B side picked up a draw away at Mataró with the game ending 1-1.- The home side started brightly and went ahead on the 20th minute mark. Quique Álvarez’s team managed to level things up thanks to a goal from Javier Ruiz. In the second half both teams had chances to take victory but the winning goal evaded both teams. With that point the blaugranes have 22, three off leaders Damm.
