Iheanacho, against United | MANCITY.COM

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, FC Barcelona's next opponent in the Champions League, has been eliminated from the League Cup in the round of 16 after they lost the Manchester derby by a single goal at Old Trafford.

Man City were punished by Juan Mata, who scored the decisive goal for Manchester United in the 53rd minute of the match. The Spanish player was given time and space to finish with ease in the box after an excellent Ibrahimovic assist.

Guardiola's men are now out of the League Cup and miss out on the opportunity to win that piece of silverware. This coming weekend Man City face West Brom in the Premier League before facing Barça on the 1 November 8.45pm CET.
