Adriano Correira has said goodbye to the Camp Nou faithful, as well as to the players, coaches and directors at FC Barcelona, in a message on social networks. The left-back, who has left for a new adventure at Besiktas in Turkey, had the following to say: “Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming a footballer, and wearing the Barça shirt has been the culmination of that dream. Barcelona, this wonderful city, gave me and my family our second child Azhaf, who has Catalan blood”.
Referring to his colleagues at Barça, the Brazilian writes that “I have learned a lot from them. They have made me grow as a professional and as a person”.
But he saves his last words for the fans, who he says made him feel right at home from the very first day. “Without their unconditional support, many of our wins would not have been possible” he concludes. “I hope I have been able to give back some of the immense love they have shown to me”.
