Luis Suárez's goals / FCB

Luis Suárez is in spectacular form at the moment. The Uruguayan striker has now scored in eight consecutive matches, scoring 12 goals in that time in all competitions.  His efforts have helped his side maintain top spot in the league and also make it through to the last 16 of this season’s Champions League as group winners. The Barça number 9’s run began in the league game against Eibar at Camp Nou in October. The striker scored a hat-trick that day to help his side come from behind to win 3-1.

Run with important goals

During this run Suárez has opened the scoring in several important victories such as the wins over Getafe, Real Madrid and Roma. In theClásico, the striker scored twice in the 4-0 victory in the Santiago Bernabéu, the first a brilliant volley from Dani Alves’ cross.

Against Villarreal the Uruguayan scored from the spot, he scored twice against BATE in the Champions League and his last goal came against Valencia at the weekend in Mestalla, allowing his side to take a point away from home.

Suárez is the top scorer in the side this season with 19 goals in 21 matches in all competitions, an average of 0.9 per goals per game. The graphic below gives you an indication of the details of the Uruguayans’ goals.

Diego Forlán the target

Luis Suárez has scored 10 goals in seven consecutive league games, beginning on Match Day 8 against Rayo Vallecano. If he finds the net against Deportivo La Coruña on Saturday then he will equal his countryman Diego Forlán who scored in eight straight games for Atlético in 2008/09.
