FC Barcelona win Fair Play award for sixth year running

The Catalans are the team with the least suspensions and cards in the 24th league title-winning season

After winning the league title, FC Barcelona have gained another honour in the form of the 'Fair Play' award from the Royal Spanish Football Federation, handed to the side with the least sanctions and cards throughout the campaign.

Barça claimed the award with 71 points, and were followed by Real Madrid in second, with 79 points, and Deportivo La Coruña with 94.

This is the sixth year running that Barca have picked up the award, and have previously done so in 2005/06 and 2008/09, making them the team with the most such titles (eight) since it was introduced in 1998.
