Barça have been on stunning form for five months. They have gone for 35 games without defeat in all competitions, winning the Club World Cup along the way and stretching their lead in La Liga to a massive eight points.

They’re also through to the Copa del Final and off to a great start in their Champions League last sixteen tie with Arsenal. And the famous trident have played a huge role in all of that – of the 128 goals that Barça have scored this season, 97 of them, 75%, have been theirs.

Luis Suárez has scored 41 goals this term in all competitions, and is the top scorer in La Liga. These strikes have included the ones in both the semi-final and final of the Club World Cup in Japan, as well as the 4-0 defeat of Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu and the crucial 2-1 win against second-placed Atlético Madrid.

Leo Messi has added 33, which is especially impressive when we remember he was out injured for two months. He became the first player to ever make it to 300 goals in the Spanish league and last week notched up a remarkable 35th career hat-trick.

And not forgetting Neymar Jr, who has also made a vital contribution with his 23 goals and 10 assists. He especially came to the fore while Messi was out of action. But the Brazilian will be missing through suspension for this weekend’s trip to Eibar, where the other two members of the Barça trident will be looking to break the 100 barrier once again.
