The countdown to El Clásico keeps on ticking.

FC Barcelona trained Wednesday morning for the third time this week under the watchful eye of manager Luis Enrique at the Ciutat Esportiva. The team's South American players — Messi, Mascherano, Alves and Suárez — were still away on international duty. Also yet to return are Ter Stegen, Vermaelen, Mathieu and Arda Turan.

Spain national team players Piqué, Jordi Alba, Bartra and Sergi Roberto were given the day off, but the Brazil players Neymar Jr and Rafinha, and Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo did train.

Three days out from El Clásico, the Catalans find themselves amidst preparations for Saturday’s 8.30pm match versus Real Madrid at Camp Nou.

Barça will train again on Thursday at 6.00pm.

All times are in Central European Time (CET)
