Luis Suárez strolls out of Asturias Airport, yerba mate in hand. / MIGUEL RUIZ

FC Barcelona have made it to Gijón in Asturias. The team's flight took off at 9:45am from Barcelona-El Prat Airport and landed in Gijón at 11.00am.

The plane took off with head coach Luis Enrique, his coaching staff and his 18-man squad on board, and they were accompanied by Club Vice President Susana Monje and Board members Silvio Elias, Pau Vilanova and Oriol Tomàs.

Barça's match at Sporting kicks off at 6.30pm on Wednesday evening. It is the long-awaited game in hand that Barça have held onto since week 16.

Barça's visit to El Molinón is also special for Luis Enrique, who is from Gijón, and came up through Sporting's youth academy.
