The two consecutive defeats against Real Madrid and Celta are now history. Victory over Ajax in midweek helped Barça to the knock out stages of this season’s Champions’ League and also helped to put an end to a week of negative results for Luis Enrique’s team. However, the blaugranes cannot rest on their laurels after the win in Holland – they need to repeat the trick against Almería to pick up another vital three points, this time in the league. A good result in Andalusia on Saturday in a game that kicks off at 4PM local time could see them leap up from fourth place to top spot once again in the table.

20 man squad

For the trip to Almería Luis Enrique has named a 20 man squad (19 first team players plus Munir from the B side), the same list of players that travelled to Amsterdam in midweek. Everyone available has been selected with Iniesta, Mathieu and Sergi Roberto out due to injury and Belgian Thomas Vermaelen also missing out.

Almería without a win at home

Last weekend Celta came to Camp Nou as the only unbeaten side in the league away from home. This weekend the reverse is true. Francisco Rodríguez’s Almería side are yet to win at home this season after 3 defeats and 2 draws in the league at the Estadio de los Juegos del Mediterráneo. What is more, they come into the game against Barça on the back of three consecutive defeats which leave them just one point above the relegation zone. For that reason Saturday’s clash is vital for the blaugranes and for the Andalusians.

Yellow for Almería

Barça will wear their yellow away kit for the first time in the league this Saturday. Up until now the team has only wore the striking design on two occasions, both in the Champions' League away in Paris and most recently in Amsterdam.
