Barça might be in Geneva today for their third preseason friendly, but there was still plenty going on at the Ciutat Esportiva. The four World Cup semi-finalists, Leo Messi, Javier Mascherano, Dani Alves and Neymar, who trained with their colleagues on Tuesday, returned to the club for their medical tests. They all passed with flying colours and are now set for three weeks of intense training in the build-up to the start of official matches in three weeks’ time.

In the meantime, Song, Afellay and Adriano, who were all left out of the squad that faces Napoli this evening, trained on pitch 1 at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The Brazilian is still working on his abnormal heart rate, while the other three players with fitness concerns, Xavi, Mathieu and Patric, did specific exercises in isolation.

The rest of the squad had all left for the airport for their flight to Geneva, where they take on Serie A side SSC Napoli this evening at 8.00 PM CET.
