Luis Enrique ha tornat a Balaídos com a entrenador del Barça / MIGUEL RUIZ - FCB

Luis Enrique returned this Sunday to Balaídos, this time as Barça coach, and took away all three points thanks to a goal in the second half from defender Jérémy Mathieu. The Asturian highlighted the importance of the three points and the win’s importance with regards to the upcoming matches in the month of April. The difficulties presented by Celta were a main topic of his post match press conference in which the coach was more than happy with his side’s performance.

Even match

“Even though we like to have control of the game, you can’t always do that. Celta were the better side in the first half, but in the second half we improved.”

“We knew Celta would make life difficult for us because they are one of the best sides in the league pressuring you.”

“The game was open at all times. It was decided by a set piece, and we knew it could be like that.”

Morale boost for upcoming matches

“We knew from the start that we would be judged on results. With the game that Celta have demanded from us, it’s a win that strengthens us, above all with the games to come in the next few weeks.”

“Three marvelous points given how we got them.”

Return to Balaídos

“I am very happy to see a lot of people that I worked with last year again. It’s always a pleasure to return to Vigo.”
