Luis Enrique offered a detailed analysis of Barça's home loss to Málaga at Camp Nou on Saturday afternoon, expressing his view that the first and second halves were two different football matches. While the head coach felt that his team played well and were fairly balanced in the first half, with Málaga taking advantage of an unfortunate defensive error. However, he was not as generous in giving his opinion of the second half. "We weren't patient enough, either individually or as a team," he said.

These are the highlights of what Luis Enrique had to say in his post-game press conference:

“It was tough to find space, and when that happens what you see is what you get."

“The result hurts but Málaga had the right approach."

“When our opponents have played back we've been able to find a way to score, but today we were off a bit and they were spot on. It's as if we almost deserved to lose."

On Málaga'a goal: Mistakes are made as a team; that means the coach and the players. We don't point fingers."

On the next game at Manchester City: “When we lose it hurts and it's tough to leave behind, but we'll try to be the same-old Barça in Manchester.

“The sooner the next match the better. It's the best way to forget about the last one."

On Barça's chances in La Liga: “Whoever has the most points at the end will win the league. We'll see who that is. There's a lot of league left."

What Málaga coach Javi Gracia had to say:

“It's a fair result. We did what we had to do. We defended very well, we were mistake-free and we took advantage of the chances we had."

“The first half of the season was not our best, but little by little we're getting more focused. This match gives us confidence for the rest of the second half."
