Andrés Iniesta was the Final's 'MVP / MIGUEL RUIZ-FCB

The game’s MVP, Andreas Iniesta started the game as captain, but when he came off in the second half, his replacement Xavi Hernadez took the armband and it was the Catalan midfielder, making his final appearance for the Club, who picked up the trophy, something Iniesta was very clear about: “tonight it was only right that Xavi lifted the trophy. It was a perfect end to a season for any player. Xavi is a unique player and I wish him all the best”.

Turning to the win against Juve, Iniesta claimed: “right now we probably don’t realise what this all means and it’s hard to understand how important it is, but with time we’ll see it for what it is. The important thing now is to enjoy this moment – it’s not an easy thing to achieve the treble! It’s been a spectacular night and I am proud to be a part of it. There aren’t words to describe what we have done once more this season - it’s a night to be proud of being a part of Barça”.

Luis Suárez

“When you come to a Club like Barça, you know you are here to win. It's a dream come true and I’ve done it with the team of my dreams. I’ll never forget this”

“I always try and do my best to help the team. I was lucky that the rebound off Buffon came to me and I put it away to calm the team down before Neymar finished things off at the end”.

Ivan Rakitic

“We played a great game and we deserved the win for all the work we have put in over the season. I’d also like to congratulate Juventus, because they put in a good performance too”.

“Tonight’s goal has to be the most important of my career. I’m happy to have helped the team because it’s hard to come into a side like Barça and win a place”

Xavi Hernández

“I can’t believe the end of the season I’ve had. It’s magnificent. The team, the fans, the people who are here in Berlin with us tonight and all our supporters who come to the Camp Nou, they all deserve this”.

“This generation is making history. It’s not easy to win the treble and both players and fans have to make the most of it. I’m leaving, but I am sure they will continue to achieve great things”.

“After I lifted the trophy I felt nostalgic, because I know I’ll never wear this shirt again. I’ve been very happy and I’ve given all I can, I can’t ask for any more. I am happy and proud”.

Sergio Busquets

“It’s an incredible sensation because I know how hard it is to reach a Final and then to win it. I have been so lucky to be here with my teammates and together win three Champions Leagues”.

“It’s an incredible, historic moment. We did it in 2009 and it seemed we’d never manage it again, but here we are seven years later, doing it once more. The team and the Club are part of the history of the game and that’s the most important thing”.
