Dani Alves will not be commenting on his future until the two finals are over / MIGUEL RUIZ - FCB

Dani Alves spoke to the press after training today, discussing among other matters his situation at the club, the two upcoming finals and his admiration for Xavi. The following is a selection of quotes from the conference.

“Whether I stay at the club is an unanswered question. Too many things have yet to happen for me to think about what I’ll do. I have a contract until June 30 and for people who love and appreciate me, out of respect for them, I’m only thinking about enjoying the two finals and doing the best I can. I’m looking forward to it. I hope to make history with this club once again.”

“I’ll do my little bit to achieve our targets. I’m 100% with the team.”

“I believe in my chances and my professionalism.”

“Each season I don’t look to be a ten. I look to be a seven or an eight and to offer balanced performances. Looking back over my career, that’s my average,”

“It is a reward to be playing in a final, knowing how hard it is to get there.”

“Luis Enrique is happy with my work. He knows I look after myself and that shows on the pitch.”

“This club will always be in my heart. For the moments I have been through and hope to continue living until June 30.”

“I’m keen to be big at this club once again, to enjoy playing football again.”

Xavi’s goodbye

“It has been an honour to share a dressing room with such a top level professional, and example for what a footballer should be. He’ll continue to a hero wherever he is. He’s unrepeatable. A unique player. I’m sure the Barça fans are going to miss him.”

Juventus

“We have to be careful. Juventus are a very good team with some great players. They knocked out the defending champions. We think it’ll be a very hard game, worthy of a final. You have to do a lot of work and be very committed to reach the final. We’ll have to be careful with the little details.”
