Chile beat Peru 3-0 on a historic Friday night for Claudio Bravo. The 31-year-old, unbeaten in 630 minutes of official matches for Barça, made it to a national record of 85 international appearances for his country, surpassing the previous best set by the legendary Leonel Sánchez.

Speaking to fifa.com, Bravo said that “it’s an important record and I’m proud of it, but it’s not the centre of what happened today. Although we won 3-0, we were hoping for a more dynamic match and the stadium didn’t help either. But all we can do now is prepare for our next game.”

Bravo made his Chile debut 10 years ago and has been captain for the last six. “The secret of all that is knowing your team-mates and knowing how to speak to them” he said.

Catching Pinto Durán and winning this is very gratifying. Thanks to everyone in the kitchen: pic.twitter.com/waYfaLHtwE
