FC Barcelona scored a total of 21 goals at Camp Nou during the month of December. The wins against Espanyol by five goals to one, Paris Saint-Germain (3-1), Huesca (8-1) and Córdoba (5-0) have allowed the blaugranes to end the month with an average of 5.25 goals per game.

That monthly average is the best of 2014 for Barça. In January and March the team registered an average of 4.0 goals per game (16 goals in 4 games), some way behind the figure set in the final month of the calendar year by Luis Enrique’s side.

Six goals for Messi

The top scorer in the four games played at Camp Nou this month is Leo Messi. The Argentine found the net on six occasions despite the fact that he did not play in the team's biggest victory in December, the 8-1 win over Huesca in the Spanish Cup. The rest of the goals have been scored by Pedro (5), Piqué and Suárez (2 each), Iniesta, Neymar, Adriano, Sergi Roberto, Adama and Sandro.
