Intense week for FC Barcelona's senior side

Tata Martino's men will play two friendlies this week, the first will be on Tuesday in Poland, and the second will be at the Camp Nou against Santos for the Joan Gamper Trophy On Saturday the team will travel with President Rosell to Israel and Palestine

The third week of Barça’s 2013/14 preseason is marked by the arrival of the internationals who participated in the Confederations Cup earlier this summer. It’s the beginning of an intense seven-day period that will see the Blaugrana play two matches – against Lechia Gdansk and Santos – and travel to Palestine and Israel.

Gdansk and the Ciutat Esportiva

On Tuesday morning, the players named to the team for the match against Lechia Gdansk by Tata Martino will travel to Poland ahead kick off time, which is scheduled for 20.45.

The players who don’t make the trip to Poland will complete two training sessions at the Ciutat Esportiva, one at 9.00 and another at 19.00.

Joan Gamper Trophy, this Friday

Following the match in Poland, Barça’s next preseason challenge will be the Joan Gamper Trophy, which will be played on Friday at 21.30. The team will hold two training sessions a day on Wednesday and Thursday – the players who participate in the match against Lechia Gdansk won’t feature in Wednesday morning’s session.

Trip to Israel and Palestine

FC Barcelona will travel to Israel and Palestine after the Joan Gamper Trophy. On Saturday and Sunday the Barça expedition, led by President Sandro Rosell, will be received by the President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas in Bethlehem, and by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Shimon Peres, in Jerusalem. Tata Martino’s men will also hold to football clinics during the trip to the Middle East. The first will be on August 3 at Dura Stadium, and the second will be on the following day at Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
