Clásico 1993/94

Barça had had a mixed season in the 1993/94 league, but on the night of January 8th 1994 they were clearly superior to Madrid , banging five goals past their great rivals. The goals came in all forms, with the most famous being Romario’s brilliant move to dump Alkorta on the ground. Following a trade mark free kick from Koeman, the Brazilian rounded off his hat trick before Iván rounded off the night with goal number five. Deportivo moved into a strong position at the top of the table soon after, but after a dramatic final day, it was Barça who again took the title.
