FC Barcelona B fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Atlético Baleares on Sunday as two quick-fire strikes in the first half proved damaging.

It was in the 23rd minute of the first half that Manu gave his side the lead with a header. Barça, still reeling from conceding the opener, left themselves vulnerable as Rubén Jurado doubled his side’s advantage and left the Catalans with a huge mountain to climb.

Barça attempted to reduce the deficit in the second period but the damage had already been done in the first.

And on 69 minutes, the game was put to bed as Xisco made it 3-0 to condemn the reserves to a convincing loss.
