Recam Làser Caldes v FC Barcelona: Points shared (5-5)

Barça have drawn 5-5 at Recam Làser Caldes and dropped the first points of the season despite dominating the vast majority of the game. After 11 straight wins, this was the first setback on an emotional evening in which the home side withdrew the shirt number of Alexandre Acsensi, the player who recently lost his life in a traffic accident.

With Matias Pascual and Pau Bargalló out through injury, Barça were never going to have it easy, but stormed into a 4-1 lead and it looked the the game was done and dusted. 

But in the second half, the home side pulled two back, and although Alabart put Barça two in front again, they failed to hold onto their 5-3 lead. A late drive from Reus earned them a point, and there was not a dry eye in the house when Roger Acsensi came on for the final second wearing the shirt of his brother Alexandre.

Barça now take a break until they play Vilafranca on January 8 at the Palau Blaugrana (5pm CET).
