Barça 5–3 Igualada: Win in the final game of 2022 at the Palau

Barça ended the year at the Palau Blaugrana in the best way possible,  winning 5-3 against Igualada. The away side made it difficult, even drawing level towards the end, but Barça managed to seal the win in the last 5 minutes.

Both Barça and Igualada came out flying at the Palau Blaugrana, but it took 14 minutes for the first goal, Gerard Riba scoring for the visitors. Barça stepped up the pace but the Igualada repelled every attack. The breakthrough came through Pau Bargalló, who made it 1-1 from a direct free hit. Pascual then scored his first goal for the first team to make it 2-1 before Pau Bargalló got his second. However, Bernat Yeste pulled one back for Igualada, 3-2 at halftime.

After the restart, Igualada's defence matched any attack that Barça could muster, the team executing their defensive plan to perfection. No goals, the game on a knife edge, Carles Grau managed to save a direct free hit with only 8 minutes left, but then Zilken got a vital goal for the visitors to make it 3-3. However, Barça took control in the last 5 minutes, Pau Bargalló scoring his 20th strike of the season before João Rodrigues sealed the victory, 5-3 the final score.
