Barça 8–3 Reus Deportiu: Blaugrana festival

Still top of the league and unbeaten following an eight-goal spree at the Palau

Roller hockey was back at the Palau Blaugrana after a month and half without due to the World Cup break, and it returned in style with an emphatic 8-3 victory over Reus Deportiu. The win sends Barça eight points clear at the top of the table, with Reus themselves the side in second.

With the players coming onto the court wearing shirts of encouragement for the injured Matias Pascual, and with Sergi Llorca returning to the Palau after an absence with an injury of his own, Barça were plugged in from the start and could probably have been leading by more than the 3-1 that stood at the break.

But Reus were holding on well, and it wasn't really until Pau Bargalló nabbed a fourth that Barça started to look comfortable, and further goals soon had things more than sorted at 7-1.

Reus did manage a couple more consolation goals, but this game was already over. Next up is Alcoy on Saturday 3 December at the Palau Blaugrana.
