Deportivo Liceo 2-3 Barça: The leaders pick up where they left off
Keeper Sergi Fernández leads from the back as the blaugranes retain top spot in the league
The lead remains in blaugrana hands as Edu Castro's team picked up after the recent international break with a 3-2 away win at Deportivo Liceo thanks to goals from Pau Bargalló, Sergi Llorca and Marc Grau. Keeper Sergi Fernández's performance was also key as Barça retain top spot in the OK League.
Effectiveness in front of goal
Pau Bargalló, the only man to have scored in every league game this season prior to the game against Deportivo Liceo, kept his run alive with a seventh minute goal to give the visitors the lead in Galicia. That lead was maintained thanks to a string of saves from Barça keeper Sergi Fernández and on the quarter of an hour mark, Sergi Llorca double the advantage on his return to action following a shoulder injury.
Second half comeback
Barça could have made it 3-0 but Bargalló was unable to beat Deportivo keeper Martí Serra. The home side were denied on several occasions by Sergi Fernández in the blaugrana goal before Álex Rodríguez finally found a way through to make it 2-1.
The same played levelled the scores just three minutes from a rebound as Deportivo launched an inspired comeback. Nevertheless, Barça still had an ace up their sleeve with Marc Grau finishing a quick counter to make the final 3-2 to the blaugranes.
