Marc Grau bolsters the Barça attack

The Catalan striker arrives on a free from Liceo and has signed for the next two seasons

Barça and Marc Grau have reached an agreement for the Catalan striker to join the club for the next two seasons, until 30 June 2014. 26-year-old Grau comes to the Club to reinforce the attack after arriving as a free agent from Deportivo Liceo.

Born in Lloret de Mar in Catalonia, Grau made his debut in the OK League in the 2013/14 season. In the 2018/19 campaign he represented Noia Freixenet, scoring 12 goals, before making the move to La Coruña and Liceo where he spent the last three seasons displaying his ability in the box which saw him score 70 goals in the league for the Galician club.

Marc Grau also has experience as an international, winning the European Championships with Spain in 2021.

He comes from a hockey family as his brother Carles, a goalkeeper, has also signed for Barça, his twin brother Álex is the captain of Girona and another brother, Lluís, had a spell with Lloret in the OK League.

Intensity and nose for goal

With the arrival of Marc Grau, coach Edu Castro has yet another option in attack. Barça's new signing is an excellent finisher, attentive in defence and good on the counterattack.

Statement from Marc Grau:

“I am really happy to be here and I am excited about starting this new project and being part of his great club. I am really motivated, and I want to start settling in as soon as possible with my new teammates and the coaching staff."

"Any roller hockey player wants to be at Barça. It is a wonderful opportunity and I am looking forward to starting this new challenge."
