Barça have lost their Golden Cup quarter final to Benfica on penalties after the game ended 4-4 after two extra time periods.
It was a frustrating way for it all to end after they had done so well to come back from 4-1 down to force overtime. The Portuguese side led 3-0 before the blaugrana finally found the net after 31 minutes through Diogo Rafael but then Benfica went three ahead once again.
But a Joao Rodrigues penalty, and then goals from Nil Roca and Helder Nunes pulled things back to 4-2 in the most dramatic of fashion.
With no goals scored in the two overtime periods, the game went to a shootout and Benfica won that 3-2 to advance to the semi-finals.
