Finques Prats Lleida 2–5 Barça: Objective achieved

The blaugrana consolidate top spot with two games to go in the league regular season

Great win for Barça to consolidate their first place in the league with a 5-2 away victory at Finques Prats Lleida. Edu Castro's team guaranteed themselves top spot in the table with two games still to go in the regular season and with a record of 22 wins, one draw and just one defeat.

Barça strike first

With just five minutes gone João Rodrigues put Barça ahead after good work by Helder Nunes. Lleida had chances to get themselves back into the game but keeper Egurrola made several fine stops to allow the blaugranes to go in at half time in the lead.

The second half began well for Edu Castro's team as Pau Bargalló added a second. Nevertheless, Lleida struck back through Vives on the half hour mark to make it 2-1 to Barça.

The blaugranes reacted positively and another form Bargalló and a goal from Helder Nunes put them 4-1 up. Folguera pulled another back but a goal from João Rodrigues, leading scorer with 36 this season, rounded off the win for Barça who now face Girona at home at 9pm CEST on Wednesday.
