FC Barcelona Lassa ended an intense week which saw them play three games in five days with a hard-fought win over Montakit Fuenlabrada, by a 78-75 scoreline.
Hakanson and Diagne, on loan from Barça, gave the hosts a 6-0 lead early on but thanks to points from Olesson and two trebles from Rice, the blaugrana reduced the deficit to just two points at the end of the quarter.
Perperoglou exerted his influence on the game in the second quarter, with ten points in the first three minutes including two three-pointers as Barça got ahead in the game. The half ended with Barça six points ahead (45-39) with a great basket from Tomic.
The hosts got back into the game thanks to eight points without reply in the opening five minutes of the third quarter, which ended 57-57 to set up a grandstand final period.
Fuenlabrada got themselves four points ahead, but Barça did not throw in the towel. Perperoglou came up with another three-pointer while Rice made a fine basket. More points from Olesson and Vezenkov gave Barça a seven-point lead with three minutes left and while the hosts narrowed it down to three, the visitors took the game 78-75 to end a tough week in the best way possible.
Barça’s next game is on Wednesday against Maccabi in the Euroleague.
