Barça Lassa basketball are unplayable at the moment and they proved this to be the case once again in an extraordinary exhibition of attacking play at the Palau Blaugrana. They defeated Monbus Obradoiro with ease in the fourth fixture of the Endesa League by a final scoreline of 102-58. The blaugranas prodcuded a top draw team performance, and Oriola and Heurtel top scored for them on the night with 19 and 14 points respectively.
Barça Lassa kept their great early season form going following the Euroleague victory over Panathinaikos, with another resounding win over the team from Galicia. Three-pointers were a particularly useful weapon on the night with Hanga starting with two right from the start and Oriola and Pau Ribas soon got involved as well.
Exhibition of three-pointers
The game was electric with lots of fast attacks from Barça. Hanga, Koponen, Oriola, and Navarro all scored three pointers with Sito’s players scoring a remarkable 53% of their long-distance shots. Moreover, Pressey’s speed in attack helped contribute to the overwhelming control they had on the game. Strong on the offensive and defensive rebounds and clinical in attack, they had a lead of 27 by the break (49-22). In the second quarter, they only conceded seven points.
The break helped the Galicians and they responded with a period in which they scored nine points to one for Barça. However, the blaugranas soon responded through their trusted three-pointers and a cohesive team performance. Navarro scored 10 points and Tomic played as well as he has done for a long time.
By the end of the third quarter, Barça were 41 points ahead (80-39, min 30). The game was over as a contest but there was no stopping Sito Alonso’s team. The Palau Blaugrana was enjoying what they saw and Heurtel and Oriola, the star performers on the night, finished off the performance.
The blaugranas scored over 100 points for the second game in the league at the Palau in a row and they almost did against Panathinaikos last Friday when they got 98. Barça Lassa are in a fantastic moment and they are proving this to be the case with some fabulous performances on the court.
