Barça 39-30 Ademar León: Into the final in style

The Barça handball team are in the Copa del Rey final. On Saturday they disposed of Ademar León in the semi finals by 39-30 in the Pabellón de Deportes in Santander, thus booked their place for Sunday's final which will start at 4pm CEST. 

Man of the match Blaz Janc, Luka Cindric and Aleix Gomez all top scored with five goals each to help Barça into the final where they will attempt to win the trophy for the 10th season in a row against either Valladolid or Logroño. 

The second half decisive 

Ademar León began strongly and led 10-9 after 18 minutes of the contest. However, Barça's pressure in defence began to tell and a run of four straight goals gave Carlos Ortega's team a 19-16 lead at half time. 

After the break the blaugranes piled on the press and a seven goal streak saw them 26-19 in front. Ademar never looked like getting back into the game and with Barça leading 37-28, Haniel Langaro returned to action after a long injury lay off. The 39-30 win was comfortable in the end and now Sunday's final awaits for the blaugranes.
