Levante 4-4 Barça: Daniel salvages late point

Dyego, Lozano and two from Daniel secure a draw in an intense encounter in Valencia

Barça have drawn for the first time this season as the game with Levante at the Pavelló Municipal ended a goal apiece. In the first game since Ferrao was injured against Osasuna Magna, and will be out for up to six months with an Achilles tendon injury, the players came onto the court wearing shirts stating Muita força, Ferrao in Portuguese.

Barça took the lead through Dyego, but the home side found two goals in response. Levante would actually take the lead no fewer than three times, but on each occasions Barça bounced back, with double penalties a prominent feature of a physical game.

But with the home fans celebrating what looked to headed for a 4-3 win, and with Barça employing the rush goalies tactic in the hope of salvaging something at the last gasp, it was indeed Daniel who score to make it 4-4.

Barça are two points ahead of Movistar Inter, who they meet next Sunday at 4.30pm CET in what promises to be a pulsating top of the table clash.
