Fifth International FCBEscola Tournament to host more than 1,200 players

Over 100 teams from 26 schools from around the world to take part in the event

The fifth International FCBEscola Tournament which will take place on 21 and 24 March on the pitches next to the Miniestadi, is beginning to take shape.

The tournament will see 107 teams from 26 schools from around the world, made up of a record 1,211 children from 19 countries. There will be a total of 327 matches across the four different age categories of the tournament – Initiation, Preformation, Formation, Precompetition.

In the four-day festival, 26 FC Barcelona schools from around the world will take part, from the following locations: Barcelona, Warsaw, Istanbul, Casablanca, Egypt, Dubai, Delhi NCR, Fukuoka, Katsushika, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Vancouver, FCBE Tecnificación, FCBE Catalonia, FCBE Tenerife, FCBE Balearic Islands, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Santo Domingo, Florida, USA Kaptiva, USA ISL, Caribbean and USA Baghery. Therefore, the number of children playing in the tournament will by far exceed the 1,000 that took part in the last edition, and the 800 of the one before that.

Finals to be shown on Barça TV

The matches can be attended for free and can also be followed on social media via the hashtag #FCBEscola. The finals will be played on 24 March at Miniestadi and will be transmitted on Barça TV. The winners of the last edition came from FCBEscola Blaugrana (Initiation), FCBE USA Red (Preformation); FCBItalia (Formation) and FCBE Tenerife (Precompetition).
