Team had final training session at 11.00 Pascual still without Lorbek and Oleson

A fortnight after making their home debut in the Euroleague against Partizan, Barça face Nanterre with the aim – set out by coach Pascual on Wednesday-  of winning and winning well. Both teams are coming into the game off a defeat – Barça at Fenerbahçe and Nanterre away to Partizan.

FC Barcelona coming into game on a high

Barça followed up the narrow defeat in Turkey with a 71-81 Liga Endesa win over Manresa at the weekend, with both Ante Tomic (20 points and 8 rebounds) and Mario Hezonja (8 points and 11 rebounds), looking to be at the top of their game.

Pascual will again be without Oleson  - who will need a few more weeks before hes back with the squad – and Lorbek – who is expected to return much sooner.

The opposition

JSF Nanterre are a young team with hardly any European experience who are making their debut in the Eurolleague this season after taking the French title last season, despite finishing eighth in the regular season. The ex-Manresa player Sergiy Gladyr and NBA trialist Ali Traoré are the team’s best known faces and are coached by the son of the club’s President Pascal Donnadieu.

The French team have lost both games played in Europe so far this season, going down narrowly at home to CSKA, and suffering a 30 point defeat away to Partizan.
