Manchester City were held to a goalless draw by Norwich City this Saturday afternoon in the 25th round of the Premier League.
The Citizens came into the match without Agüero and Nasri, both of whom are injured. Manager Manuel Pellegrini sent out a starting team composed mainly of usual starters. The two teams were evenly matched for most of the 90 minutes of play, although the visitors had more chances on goal. Before the break Manchester City were denied by the woodwork, and in the second half Norwich enjoyed a good chance to take the lead.
The draw, coupled with Chelsea’s victory, means the Citizens are no longer at the top of the table. Pellegrini’s team are third on 54 points, two adrift of the new leaders.
