After the conclusion of the season, which was coupled with the defeat to Atlético Madrid, President Josep Maria Bartomeu talked about the future of the team. “We will go into a period with profound changes. We only won the Spanish Super Cup and we’re saddened by that. I’d tell them that we have a great team, that we fought on despite the problems we had.” He concluded by saying that it has been “a complicated season” and “we lacked the ability to score goals, but it never came.”
